We will be collecting donations through this Friday on this site and then donations of items, like Shampoo, Combs, Brushes, Toothbrushes, Rechargable Flashlights, deodorant, chapstick, hair ties, toothpaste, solar panel chargers, solar cell phone chargers, small generators, Starlink equipment, gift cards for Home Depot, LOWES, they can be sent

Attn Maui Power Up Relief, 917 Kahoku Place, Kihei HI 96753.

Every donation sent will be distributed directly to locals and residents who are in need.  Your one box of items shipped will make all the difference to a family in need.

There are mixed messages about visiting Hawaii.  All other Islands are open for business.  The only places really available on Maui is parts of Kihei and Wailea.  The locals are asking folks to give them time to grieve and recover. Kula is still on fire and not contained.  This is on the Kihei and Wailea side of the Island.

If you own your own home, please read your policy.  For some home owners who have not updated their policies since they bought their homes, the property which may be $500K to 2M to replace the structure, may still have insurance coverage of $150k.  They will not be able to rebuild at that price.  Insurance does not pay for land, it pays for the structure. Replacement values change.  Your policy does not change unless you up the value on replacement.  If you rent, please consider a rental policy so that you are covered as well.   For everyone who has contributed, your personal sacrifice of time and money are so appreciated.  Thank you  so much.
