Ae Ra Waun is the son of Boo Jhan. In his early years, he was forced to be a performing elephant doing bathing shows, playing football, play instruments, dancing, painting and other unnatural displays at camps around Chiang Mai. After years of being a performer for human amusement he was moved to another camp in Mae Wang where he was trained to give tourists rides on his back. Journey to Freedom contacted his owner and rescued him to come to stay with his mother and new family. He is not a fussy eater, but becomes upset if there is not enough food for a growing boy. He enjoys foraging in the forest during day time.
