Hi, my name is Melissa Riddle and I am Brandon Wood's mother . Some of you may have heard about the accident my son Brandon was in and if you have not here it is... On Sunday evening on the way home from a meeting Brandon was a passenger in a vehicle and while the vehicle he was in comes upon the scene of a accident already being attended too by EMTs , Fire Department and our local sheriff's department the vehicle Brandon was in was at a complete stop as road was unpassable at that time. Out of nowhere a vehicle that was approaching the scene of the accident and the stopped vehicle Brandon was in starts swerving and rear ending Brandons friends vehicle at an estimated 45 miles an hour according to the police report as a result of the accident Brandons seatbelt broke and passenger airbag malfunctioned causing him to smash into the dashboard and then into the windshield which resulted in whiplash a gapping wound on the crown of his head resulting in 67 staples as well as breaking his jaw and collar bone and causing him to lose a couple of his teeth! Luckily he is alive and will make a full recovery 🙏🏼 besides the major injuries listed above he is bruised severally from his waste up. Brandon is awake and talking and glad to be alive, according to him he never seen it coming! He states that he remembers coming to a stop at the scene of the accident already be attending too and then being pulled out of the vehicle by the firefighter. The individual who was responsible for the accident apparently was under the influence of methamphetamine and speeding as well as driving without a license in a stolen vehicle. That individual was taken to the hospital and treated as well and taken into custody unfortunately for Brandon he doesn't have any medical coverage nor was the responsible party insured!!! On top of the medical bills Brandon will also be out of work for at least a week possibly longer unfortunately I am not rich myself but I am doing all I can do to assist his needs I started this in hopes of taking some stress off of him so he can focus on recovering. Brandons main concern is getting his teeth fixed he is extremely depressed about not being able to smile anyone who knows him is aware of how self conscious he is and how losing his teeth was his greatest fear! Brandon has really been doing so well lately and has tremendously turned his life around and truly enjoying the MAN he was becoming let's help him to continue down the road of success and positivity please ! Anything helps I set the goal tentatively at this amount in hopes of at least covering the dental expenses!
