Hello
My name is Faith I am 45 years old. Last May i was diagnosed with Idiopathic subglottic stenosis.   This is a rare disease that affects 1 in 500,000 people.
I had emergency surgery last May after passing out at a concert with my sisters.  My throat was 95% closed right below my vocal cords.  I was having issues for over 2 years. Being treated for asthma and anything else you can think of.
Fast forward almost a year to the day later I had a second surgery. My throat closed up again about 40/50%.  I am still paying off what insurance didn’t cover from last year on top of what’s to come from this year. I have had to use credit cards to pay bills that my husband won’t help with. I am drowning… i don’t know where else to turn.  I don’t want to do a go fund me because I am embarrassed to let my friends and family know what I am dealing with.
i feel like this could be my only hope to get back on my feet and fix things. There is also the possibility of this disease coming back. It’s kind of crazy. I appreciate you taking the time to read my story. Life is lifing!
