A little about my mission in the Miss America Organization: I am competing in the Miss America Organization for the second time, for my last year in the teen category! My CSI is A Waitlist That Can’t Wait: Suicide Awareness and Prevention. My CSI comes from my personal, firsthand, experience of losing a family member to suicide. My aunt passed away on March 25th, 2021, and without much help to overcome these thoughts. She had been struggling for quite a while before gaining her wings, and had PTSD, as well as the VA turning her away in active crisis. She also had someone at work, not long before she passed, tell her that she was to chicken to kill herself. All these multitudes led up to March 25th, 2021. The one “good” thing that came out of it was the fire the situation had set inside of me. If there was one thing I wanted to do now, it was help as many other people I could, so that they would not end up taking their lives before they can live their story. You have a story to live. You have a purpose. Live YOUR story. We CAN make the world a better place one person, one call, one text, one interaction at a time. Which is what I am trying to accomplish in this organization. One step at a time.🩷

Miss America and Miss America's Teen National Scholarships are awarded by a separate non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the Miss America's Scholarship Foundation Inc. This collaboration provides funds for national awards, and in addition, both Miss America's/Miss America's Teen State Scholarships and the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement. The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women is Miss America's Scholarship Foundation's national health thought leader. All above mentioned entities are 501(c)(3) organizations and all donations to this campaign are fully tax-deductible per IRS regulations.
