Hi, my name is Valerie Beeson. Both my parents have dementia and dad cannot walk. They are currently in skilled nursing facilities but I will be bringing them home at the end of October. I am a trained Certified Nursing Assistant and will be caring for them around the clock by myself. Our finances are not enough to afford all the necessities I will need to help them with. Their health insurance will cover hospital beds, wheelchairs, and a bedside commode. However, I have to still purchase multiple sheets for their beds (must have quite a few because of things getting soiled easily), 2 bedside tables for them to eat from, diapers, wipes, a large bin for soiled items, something to take their temperature with (I already have a blood pressure cuff and a glucose monitor), ensure drinks for mom, dry hair shampoo for mom, and probably a few other small things. I am seeking help from the community for these needs. $500 is not a lot to raise. Would you consider donating?
