Loki came to us at McNeely Farmily Rescue and Sanctuary a few weeks ago with an injured back right leg. Last Friday, we took him to get checked out and we were referred to an orthopedic surgeon because the vet found through exam and X-rays that he had apparent damage to the leg.
Today we saw an Orthopedic Surgeon and he has a luxating patella (knee moves out of place) and a torn CCL (cranial crutiate ligament) in that leg. Loki needs surgery to correct these issues in order for him to be able to live his days out comfortably, and walk and play like a dog. He’s only 1 year 2 months old. He’s a young pup and we are asking for any donations possible to help our animal rescue out with this.
We are nonprofit rescue run by just our family. We bought our property to be able to accommodate agricultural as well as domestic rescues. We are here to take in disabled, special needs trauma cases, or those that need a place to retire. We have over 70 rescues here on our farm. All of our personal funds go into these animals, so any help that we could get with these emergent situations is a huge answer to huge prayers!
Thank you in advance for donating and sharing to help us help Loki walk pain free again!
