278 days ago millions of lives were turned upside-down due to the war against the Ukrainian people. My people. I am Ukrainian by blood. Though I was born and raised in Latvia, my family roots are from a small village in the southeast part of Ukraine, about 200 miles from the beautiful capital city of Kiev. I have many family members living in Ukraine - my cousins and their families, childhood friends and people dear to my heart.

They have suffered for 278 days, and it's not getting easier. With winter approaching quickly, the most essential elements for survival - heat, light and water - are either not available or seriously curtailed..

My cousin Svetlana is a 43-year-old woman with 2 children: 11 year old Ilya and 5 year old Diana. Her mom, Tatyana, and dad, Vasilyi, are in their 70s. They live in Kiev, and from the beginning of the war have been on the move, traveling from relatives to relatives for safety. Tatyana is also recovering from cancer treatment and needs to be close to medical facilities where she can get help if needed.

Svetlana and her children are trying to evacuate to a place where her children can have light, water, heat and school. Both children haven't been able to attend school since the beginning of the war. In order for them to evacuate to another nearby country, like Poland or the Czech Republic, they need financial support.

Dear friends and colleagues! I am asking you to join me through your donation giving Svetlana and her children a chance to escape and evacuate to safety.

Please donate as much as you can. Everything is greatly appreciated. I believe in my heart that by helping others we help ourselves. Thank you very much! God Bless You!

Ukraine, ALL WILL BE.
