My babies Auggie and Precious were attacked last Saturday morning in front of my apt. At Sunrise Apt.'s in Lubec by a large aggressive dog who was running loose from his home on County Road. Auggie had to have surgery to repair a large rip in his side that tore deep into his muscle. Precious was in the dogs mouth and then thrown in the air and has severe internal bruising. If it wasn’t for the quick action of my friend Barbara they would both have been killed, according to the Emergency Vet in Brewer. My vet bill just to cover the Emergency care was over $2200 and I had to borrow it from a friend - I have no way to pay that back without your help... And Auggie and Precious have many more appointments to come and a long road to recovery. The owner has already given this dangerous dog away as a way to try to escape responsibility for expenses.
I grew up in Lubec on South Lubec Road and just moved back home in July with Auggie and Precious from Florida after losing my husband in January. Now without the additional income from Mike, I am very low income and need your help. If this had happened only one day before, my two year old Great Niece would have been in harm's way instead of of Precious and Auggie.
We have been told this dog has attacked at least 5 other dogs and just pray something will be done before something much worse happens. I am grateful for any help you can give. Thank you so much for caring about Auggie and Precious❤️❤️
