I am a middle school History teacher at a Title I school. One day I was cleaning out my storage and found a brand new large teddy bear. Instead of throwing away the teddy bear, I decided to bring it into classroom for Emotional Support for my students. As time went by and students were having bad days, issues at home, or even entering my classroom crying, I suggested they hold and hug the teddy bear for emotional support. I have been doing this for the past 3 weeks and it has worked. It has brought comfort to students when they are upset; reducing disruptive outbursts and allowing the students to focus on academic achievement. I decided to raise money to put a large sized teddy bear and a can of lysol in every teacher's classroom. My school has a total of 60 classrooms that are occupied by students and teachers. Please donate in an effort to support students emotionally using large teddy bears.
