One of the greatest gifts in life is the opportunity to show up for someone when they need it most.
Today, I’m asking you to show up for my friend, Lyle. Lyle is one of the strongest, most selfless, and faith-driven people I know. The kind of man who quietly carries burdens, shows up for others without hesitation, and never asks for help—even when he should. But right now… he needs us.
Over the past several years, Lyle has endured unimaginable physical pain and setbacks. After more than a year of relentless suffering and no clear answers, he finally underwent surgery in September 2023 to repair a completely torn abdominal wall and adductor tendons—a procedure the medical system dismissed as “not medically necessary.” We knew better. That surgery gave him his life back.
For the first time in a long time, Lyle was free from daily pain. He returned to doing what he loved—running, pushing himself, and living life fully again. It felt like a turning point. A fresh start. Then everything changed.
On New Year’s Eve 2025, while out on a run, Lyle was struck by a box truck that didn’t stop. In an instant, everything he fought so hard to regain was taken from him. He now faces: A severe Grade 3 hamstring tear and Grade 2 in the other hamstring A re-injury to his abdominal wall Intense, daily pain that limits even basic movement Mounting medical expenses… with critical treatments still not covered And yet—if you know Lyle—you know this: his faith hasn’t wavered.
Strength doesn’t pay for surgery. But faith can erase medical bills when there is a response. That’s where we come in. This is our moment to surround Lyle and his family with more than just prayers—with real, tangible support. To lift a burden he was never meant to carry alone. Every donation—no matter the amount—goes directly toward: Medical care and recovery Ongoing treatment and rehabilitation Supporting his family during this incredibly difficult time If you’ve ever wondered when to step in… this is one of those moments.
Let’s show Lyle what community looks like. Let’s remind him he’s not fighting this battle alone.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your willingness to stand with him.
With gratitude, Kim
