David Wayne Christensen passed away suddenly on November 3rd, 2022, at the age of 62. Dave was born on June 19th,1960, in Farmington, New Mexico, to Dwayne and Georgia Christensen. He passed away in Pleasanton, California.

Dave spent his life helping each and every person he interacted with. Regularly going out of his way to do good for others, he would do anything for friends, neighbors, and especially his family. This earned him the affectionate nickname “Friar Tuck”. Dave loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and he knew them each individually. Dave had a deep and life-long devotion to Christ. Til the end of his days, he radiated profound love for his high school sweetheart and eternal spouse, Kari. They loved being together.

Dave was incredibly active. He spent his leisure on activities such as riding dirtbikes and four-wheelers, site seeing, scouting new restaurants, and scootering San Francisco. Always supporting his children, Dave never missed a single wrestling match, cheerleading event, track meet, or any activities they were a part of. He was always perceptive of people’s needs and desires. Dave’s relationships with family and friends meant more to him than any material item could.

Dave spent his life serving, helping, and loving all beings he interacted with, including those he did not know. He had a gift for recognizing the love and affection people needed and gave it to them freely. His heart was too big for this world, and he was purely motivated to ease the burdens of everyone he knew.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother Georgia. He is survived by his loving wife Kari and four children Dusty (Rebecca), Derek (Andra), Shea (Matt), and Dallin (Faith); his 10 grandchildren Braxton, Tylee, Aftyn, Katelyn, Haidyn, Reya, Taven, Dax, Dawson, and Dayton; his father Dwayne, step-mother Bonnie, and siblings Shana (John), Zach, Dawn, and Lori.

Services for Dave are pending.

Funds donated will go towards Dave's Celebration of life costs and then directly to his loving wife Kari Christensen
