I am humbling myself to ask for help . I am on my second diagnoses of cancer . Only to find this out after a complicated and botched surgery that the surgeon failed to test a cyst he removed before placing a failed prosthesis. The insurance has me traveling all over My state to see about finding a doctor to help with both issues or even one .   I am unable to work even part time. I will not be able to afford housing with the funds that do come in.  All I do every week day is visit some medical appointment . 

 

I found a surgeon that will do a revision but these surgeons do not take insurance. I can apply for some reimbursement after it is paid and that will be any additional cost later on. Right now I just want to survive ans be able to see the other specialist I need to

The neurologist has found a cerebral spinal leak 

The neurosurgeon will not do surgery until the TMJ infections are gone.  

 

Unfortunately , TMJ is not covered under insurance even with Infection as no surgeon takes insurance for this procedure basically even medically needed it's still considered cosmetic .

I do receive SSD but its not enough to live on . 

I have no family to help as they are having financial issues themselves.  

If any one can help it would be greatly appreciated. 

 

Update . The surgery  of TMJ will consist if 3 parts. They need to do the first surgery by July I need $67, 000 for he first part . 

 

The total of 3 surgeries will be $167,000 .

 

I will be applying for grants but I need a minimum of $7,000 deposit to do this.  Plus rounding expenses as it's not local surgeon.  So travel and where to stay . 

No it's not covered by insurance or it never would have gotten so bad to have had the original surgery. 

 

This is one of 2 surgeons that were found that will work on another surgeons work 

 

I am over 2 years post op with 4 sites of infection that are close to my brain. 

 

Update February 2026

My medical is getting worse and unfortunately I will be home less by March. 

 

I can no longer afford some of my medication due to higher copays.

 

I am stuck.

Please do not state that I surance or the government will help as they will not.
