POSTAWA, David S.
Kalamazoo, MI
David Shayne Postawa died Monday, August 29, 2022, in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born October 11, 1990, in Kalamazoo, MI son of Walter J. and Annette (Irving) Postawa.
David was a son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, singer, songwriter, musician and was beloved by ALL! David was conceived and came home from being born to his home on Lake Street less than two blocks away from where he was murdered. He spent most of his childhood in the Comstock area (Comstock Village) and went to Comstock Elementary where his love of wrestling (WWF/WWE) and breaking tables and chairs had our mother in the principal’s office more often than most! As he grew so did his family, constantly adding adopted sisters and brothers!!! Fantasy was always a place David could escape to, and once he heard The Infamous ICP he went full Juggalo and started expressing himself more fluently. He then was gifted Makaveli and Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), on cassette, for his seventh birthday and was grounded shortly after for continually chanting "WU-TANG CLAN AIN'T NOTHIN TO…) Soon after he could be heard singing songs from one side of town to the next! He loved singing songs to the broken and wrote them about everyone he knew and loved. He loved performing for anyone that would listen. He opened for Jelly Roll, Nappy Roots, Rittz and Rehab all in Kalamazoo! He’s doing sound checks for the angels now and we are all outside waiting for the doors to open!!!
David was preceded in death by his father, Walter. He is survived by his mother, Annette; son, Treylon Postawa; siblings, Michael (Courtney McClellan) Lambert, John (Lindsey) Lambert, Justin Lambert, Andrew Lambert, Shawn Postawa, and Jason Postawa; nieces and nephews, the Cole family and adopted family.
