Alma "Ms. H" Hernandez is an amazing Educator and advocate for young people, in Richmond, CA. She has worked for many years to care for and support not only her many students, but her colleagues, family, and community, as well. Alma is a bright light for all that know her, and our community was truly saddened to learn that while doing her incredibly difficult and important work as an Educator, someone stole her car (and means of transportation) from the parking lot of our school.
From Alma:
"On Tuesday October 12, I came to work and parked my car inside our lot facing Walmart. By the end of that same day, at 4:30 my car was gone.
I was and still am super disheartened. This car meant so much to me, being the only thing I have left of my dad and my childhood with him."
After filing a report and tireless searching, there is still no word and it appears that the car is a total loss. Her community asks that if you are able/willing to donate even a small amount to help get Ms. H a new (used) car, it will be incredibly appreciated. Alma does so much good for the people in her life and this happening to her is simply not okay. If you can help us to make this wrong thing right again, we would be deeply grateful for your support of who her students lovingly refer to as "Ms. H."
Thank you,
Alma's community
Note: This is not an offically sponsored Aspire/Cal Prep fundraiser and was created on behalf of her many friends/colleagues.
