Hello,

My name is Abby Baker,19. After DoorDashing for the night, on October 21st, my dad, Brandon Baker, was in a terrible accident and transferred to St. Vincent Trauma Center. In an attempt to avoid hitting a dog he swerved causing him to drive into a constuction zone where he hit a parked bulldozer head on. He has over 13 facial fractures along with many other injuries including his back. He will need to undergo multiple surgeries as well as reconstruct his left eye.

I am asking for your help to relieve the finacial burden his surgeries will have on our mom. There's only so much insurance can do for us. Many may not know but he has been working hard on some other health issues this year. One thing he has absolutely loved doing this year is Assit Coach for the Noblesville High School Freshmen team. We are unsure how long his recovery will be and when he will be able to get back to work and on the sidelines coaching and cheering for the Millers.

For those of you that know my mom, Angie Baker, you know she is the hardest working person and is always the first to show up and the last to leave for anyone that needs help (just a few reasons as to why I look up to her so much). She is so selfless and giving. On top of working two jobs, she is also helping and caring for three grandkids. I want my mom to not have to worry about the finacial impact from these surgeries and hopefully raise enough for it to be that way. My mom dosen't like to ask for help at all, but I want her to know it's okay sometimes, especially when she is already doing everything she can to support our family.

Also to include a little more about who my dad is, my little brother Jake would like you guys to know that with as many challenges my dad faces he still will do anything and everything in his power for his family. He loves all of us kids and being a Papaw to 3 grandboys. He will do the most to make sure his family is happy. We want to return the favor to show how much we love and want to do for him and our mom.

If you do decide to donate, we want to let you know how thankful our family is for your help and we love you all.

Thank you and very much appreciate the prayers and donations.

Well we made it through the first weekend at home. Dad is healing amazingly. We can’t believe how great his face is looking. He is still in pain and lots of soreness appearing throughout the whole body. He is continuing to put antibiotics and steroids into his eye but still not able to open it all the way. He hasn’t been sleeping much as he can’t get comfortable enough and so many meds that are messing with him. He really hasn’t had much of an appetite, but when he does been drinking ensures and milkshakes. They go Wednesday for a follow up to the surgeon to see how things are healing and coming along. More updates to come. Thank you for your continued prayers.

10/25 update! Dad will undergo what will be a 5 hr reconstructive surgery at 12:30 today. Surgeon will repair the fracture of the skull over the nose, repair the eye socket fracture and cheekbone.  Surgical braces will be placed on the bottom set of teeth then they will secure his top teeth to the braces and wire shut ( minimum 6 weeks) to allow the jaw joint fracture to heal.  Thank you for all your support and prayers!
