The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted all of us in unique ways, but perhaps the most detrimental impact can be found in the US public school system. The students are far behind on their reading, writing and arithmatic comprehension as a result of the pandemic. To make matters worse, many students dont have the school supplies necessary to help them catch up to the state-wide standards. My lovely girlfriend Iris teaches the ESL (English Second Language) class at Elmhurst middle school. She does after school teaching, Saturday School and even Administrative courses on Sundays with the goal of becoming an administrator in the future. Iris's parents are immiggrants from Hong Kong- so she was forced to move back home with them to help with the bills. On top of that, she routienly pays out of pocket for school supplies for her students (many of which are new to the United States and are living in dire circrumstances. I realize this is a tough ask during these tough times... but if you could help ease the burden for Iris and her students, I would be forever grateful. Any amount is helpful.
Thanks for your consideration.
Kyle
