Why This Matters
For the past two years, AUIS’s Moulakis Library has paired faculty, staff, and student volunteers with children in state care. All activities are conducted with proper oversight from Sulaymaniyah’s child welfare authorities. This summer, the program will focus on supporting girls surviving violence, abandonment, or trauma. For eight weeks, four days a week, they’ll rotate through:
