Hello and thank you for reading our story 🐾. Recently, I have been struggling to decide what is best for my pup Riley. I considered rehoming him but it would completely break me💔...and him 😔. He has been in my family since he was three months old, adopted by my parents when I was 15 years old. After my parents parted ways, I couldn't let Riley go to a shelter! I was left to care for the house, my younger brother, and Riley at a very young age. I was working minimum wage and have been struggling financially since the age of 17.
Over the years, Riley and I have developed an unbreakable bond and he is currently registered as my ESA. Being a senior, he is facing difficulties with his health and requires frequent checkups. He has arthritis and cataracts which will require an operation within the year, as well as tumors throughout his body. The tumors we tested were non-cancerous but are extremely large and visible uncomfortable. He has about 35 throughout his body and we could only afford to test three. Personally, I'm battling with my own mental health and financial concerns, with little to no support and it is overwhelming. I am currently on disability from work and am trying to take things day by day. I would like to start a fund to help with Riley's current and future medical expenses, as well as upkeep with his supplements and food. He is such an amazing, loving, patient, and smart pup who truly deserves the best life can offer. Unfortunately, I can not provide that for him alone.
