Hello, my name is Carlos and I need help to get my dog Merk a really expensive surgery that he needs. I would like for you to meet my dog Merk. He is a Shih-Tzu, and he is one of the most lovable dogs you could ever meet. He is so adorable and well-behaved.
Merk came into my life when he was just 3 months old. Today, Merk is 11 years old. However, I am scared because I don't know how much longer he will be with me if he doesn't get the surgery that he needs. I know this surgery could be risky; however, I have faith that everything is going to be okay. He will be in good hands for his surgery.
The surgery is because he has a tumor near his butt. At this time, we don't know if the tumor is benign or malignant. To find out, the vets need to take a sample and run some tests. I know he will be okay because he is a fighter, that little guy. Some people may think that he is old, and it's true; however, age does not determine his survival of the surgery. Typically, small dogs live longer lives. Merk's father is still around; he will be 18 years old this year. Knowing that gives me hope that he could do this.
This is why I am asking you for donations to help cover all his medical expenses from the tests to the actual surgery. Some other costs that I am facing are the cost of an ultrasound that is $750, a senior radiology screen for small animals that costs $578, and Cytology VDX MINI $315. Plus, office visits and medication. However, all this is just to determine what the tumor is. I was quoted that the entire cost could be over $10,000.
Merk is not just a pet for me. he is my baby, my emotional support dog, some times I think to my self who really needs who more? Because he is always there for me when I need him to be.
