Hello everyone 😁 As a transplant here, I have come to see how the Coulee Region really takes care of its own. I am asking for your help. A local single mom, WC, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and will soon be unable to work. I have become friends with the family because her wonderful teenage daughter babysits for us and her 5 year old son, has become friends with my two little boys. I am protecting the family’s anonymity until/if I get permission to share their name publicly, but I can assure you this family has already gone through more than most. And now, breast cancer at 39 years old. I can’t even imagine.
Currently, I am asking for donations for a gas card to help get her to and from treatments. That may turn into asking for driving help as she will likely not be able to drive after her first chemo treatments. I will also be organizing a meal train and taking other monetary donations for bills and other household incidentals. There will be fundraisers planned in the near future and I will keep everyone updated on the details. Thank you to everyone in advance who is able to donate or even share this story. As someone who used a fundraising site as my dad was sick, they help so much more than you know. The LAST thing someone with a serious illness and their family need is to worry money and that is often what they need the most.
