Two years ago, like so many others, I stopped cutting my hair. I began my jouney with chin length hair, hoping to "hold out" until I had at least 8" to donate to this awesome non-profit, Hair We Share, which gives the wigs they make at no cost. I was excited and surprised to find that they would accept my graying hair despite the wig being for someone much younger than myself (children below the age of 18).
Very recently, on June 2nd, I asked a very special woman and friend named Tina who has her own relationship with cancer, to cut my hair. I'm so happy to have just mailed 11.5" to HWS.
HWS makes wigs for children and young adults who have hair loss due to chemo treatments, alopecia, head trauma, and to burn victims.
So I'm asking for your help. It takes about $150 for this family owned business to make one wig. It takes an average of 3 different donor's to create one wig. I provided the hair. Can you help me raise enough money to make a wig?
