I’ve had Dodger since he was 8 weeks old. I’ve watched him grow into a fun, loving dog that can brighten anyone’s day. He will be a year in August and is already 75 pounds! He's very loved and spoiled to say the least by everyone he comes in contact with from family to friends. May 20th, I was taking him on a walk and he got excited about a stray dog, a Tahoe outside of my complex ran him over and drove off. They didn’t even stop to check if my dog was okay. I’m not sure if it’s because of the stigma around bully breeds, or if they are just a terrible person. I tried to get a license plate, but they drove off so fast I didn’t have enough time to write anything down. My main concern was tending to Dodger. I took him to the vet and they told me that the result of the accident was a broken femur. Was charged $380 for some pain killers and a X-ray. The vet told me the cost of the surgery, and that I would have to take him to Oklahoma City for the vet that they recommend. The vets also let me know that if I can not do surgery, they may have to amputate his leg. The vet bills are more than I’m able to afford at once right now, so if anyone is able, please donate or share this so I can help my dog. Thank you for listening.
