My niece, Savannah, is 12 years old. On 6/8/22, she was diagnosed with stage 3 aggressive Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She will need aggressive chemo and radiation to beat this bad monster that has attacked her little body. It all started as a lump on her neck that would not go away after a softball injury. We were assured that it was just a hematoma or a pocket of blood that would slowly disappear. But, when it started growing, she was rushed to the ER, where the grim picture started unfolding. Cancer, Hodgkin's Lymphoma in her neck, throat, and groin lymph nodes; it has spread into her lungs, with a large mass sitting at the bottom of her heart. Her spleen and pancreas are enlarged and inflamed. Our beautiful princess is in for a long, hard road ahead, but she is strong and mighty for her thin stature! Her father (my brother) is a logging truck driver with no paid time off, which means if he doesn't work, he doesn't make any money. Savannah is the oldest of her four siblings. To make matters worse, our sweet girl has terrible anxiety and needs a family member with her at all times to help console her. She is a daddy's girl through and through. I hope to raise money so her daddy can be with her more through this. Gas, food, and all the everyday bills are building up quickly. Please, if you can donate, it will help to keep a family member with Savannah. Her care will require travel costs to and from the Children's Hospital of Georgia at MCG. Also, prayers for our girl and our family is welcome; she needs all the blessings we can get for her. Thank you all very much for any and all help.
