On Thursday June, 2nd, our beloved Nick suffered a severe cardiac event which sent him to the hospital.

Anyone who knows Nick knows he is the life of the party and has one of the biggest hearts around. He teaches at multiple dance studios and loves each and every one of his students as if they were his own kids.

We are hoping to generate a display of support for him and his husband who recently bought a house and will need as much help as they can get with moving costs, medical costs, current bills and any immediate needs that they might have.

Nick is a fighter and will be back better and stronger then ever!

Update**July 3, 2022

Nick was discharged from the hospital on June 19th! He was progressing so well on his own that the doctors and nurses said that it would not benefit him to go to a post-acute rehabilitation facility.

Since being home Nick has a physical therapist and nurse come to the house a few times during the week. His physical therapist said he did not need much as he was doing more then the exercises she was suggesting. She would ask him to lift his knee up and of course his natural dancer instinct made him bring his leg into passé, haha.

Nick had his follow up appointment with the cardio electrophysiologist who put in the defibrillator and pacemaker. He said that everything looks perfect and is healing very nicely!

From here, Nick will be doing some cardio rehab for a little that focuses on continuing to strengethen the heart. He is making such incredible progress though. He will be able to go on with his normal activities in 6 weeks!

Thank you again for all of you who have continued to support Nick in his road to recovery. We truly appreciate each and every one of you. We hope you all have a Happy 4th of July!

Update**June 21, 2022

Nick was supposed to be released to an inpatient rehab facility on Friday, June 17th, where they would do continuous physical therapy to help him gain back his strength, but unfortunately there were some delays so he had to spend the rest of the weekend at the hospital.

On Monday, Nick had another cardiologist take a look at him, as well as an Occupational and Physical Therapist. They had Nick perform a series of tests to see his level of mobility. Nick was walking around on his own around the halls, he walked up and down a few stairs, he was able to put shorts on and wash his face. After all of these tests the doctors and therapists said that he has progressed so quickly it was amazing! Because he is doing so well, Nick was told that it would not benefit him to be at any of these facilities so they made the decision to discharge him to come HOME! Very exciting news!

We still have a long road ahead of us but we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Nick will have a physical therapist and nurse come to the house 3 days a week to work on his physical strength. After two or so weeks then he will be going to an out-patient cardio rehabiliation center where he will be hooked up to heart monitors and do exercises specifically geared towards strengthening his heart.

Nick is happy to be home and is improving every day. Once again thank you all so much for the donations and for the love and support. We truly appreciate it!

Update** June 16, 2022

Nick's cardiologist came today to check to make sure everything went well with the procedure last night. All was good and he said everything was successful and looks great!

Nick was finally cleared to eat normal foods, haha! He was super excited to not be eating minced foods anymore. He enjoyed a nice big chicken salad today and drank a lot of water and juice.

Nick has been cleared for discharge FINALLY! More great news. He will be going to a cardio rehabilitation center for a week or two from the hospital tomorrow where they will focus on his physical therapy and then he will be able to come HOME!

Once again, the outpouring of love and support and the donations are so much appreciated. We cannot thank you enough for everything you have all been doing.  THANK YOU!

Update** Great News! Nick was moved out of the ICU on Friday, June 10th into a regular hospital room at Overlook Medical Center. His vitals have been stable and are continuing to improve daily. Nick's larger than life personality is back and in full force. He is very popular with the nurses.

As of yesterday, Tuesday, June 14th, Nick was transferred to Morristown Memorial Hospital where he will be getting a defibrillator/pace maker implanted today, Wednesday, June 15th. Because his heart was shocked they want to put this device in for safety measures just to make sure that this doesn't happen again. So this is all good news and will give us some peace of mind.

Once again we are beyond grateful for the generous donations and for the love and support that you have all been showing. Nick is so thankful to be surrounded by such an amazing support system.

After this procedure Nick will most likely move to a cardio rehabilitation center nearby for a week or two so that they can closely monitor his heart and do continuous physical therapy to help build up his strength. He is already getting stronger and stronger each day.

All of the doctors are sure that he will be back stronger then ever and ready to get back to normal come August/September.

Thank you again so much everyone! Keep those prayers coming! We love you all.
