FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE
Help Prevent Another 20-Year Mistake Before It’s Too Late
There aren’t many causes I speak out about—so when I do, it’s because it truly matters. This is one of those moments.
As you read, I ask for your trust, your open heart, and your support.
Someone I care deeply about—someone many of you know—is facing a life sentence for a crime he did not commit.
The clock is ticking. The time to act is now.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Tre Dior Turner
You may know him as the DJ who kept you dancing longer than you planned. But Tre is also a marketing executive, an advocate for those in need, and a second father figure to 10 nieces and nephews and—the one they call as well as many others when they need safety, support, or a ride home.
His life changed when he moved from North Carolina to Florida to help his then-partner’s family of teenagers and adults after the death of their patriarch—their only source of income. Tre stepped in to support the household, not only by renting a home for all of them to share, but, covering other expenses, providing transportation, cooking, cleaning, and keeping the household afloat with little or no support from the family he was assisting.
But when it became clear that no one else was going to step up—and the one year of planned support had stretched too far—Tre began preparing to move forward with a job transfer.
Two months before leaving, everything changed.
The family he once called his own turned on him.
WHAT HAPPENED
When Tre pulled back to reclaim his life, the retaliation was swift. Accusations were made—fantastical, inconsistent, and devastating.
Despite:
- No prior criminal record (not even a misdemeanor),
- A medical examination within an hour that showed no signs of assault,
- An ever-changing testimony from the accuser and other family members,
- Video evidence of an interrogation, including coercion and manipulation, (normal tactics) and GROPING
- Tampered audio presented at trial, and
- Evidence that was excluded without reason that would easily clear his name and paint a different picture.
Tre was sentenced by a jury that didn’t reflect him or his life. The judge never even looked up to see the man she was sentencing to life.
His original attorney—who believed in him—was promoted and removed from the case. The replacement offered no real defense: no objections, little cross-examination, and no effort to challenge the flaws in the prosecution’s case.
Meanwhile, the accuser’s family accessed Tre’s bank accounts, drained his funds, and walked away with no accountability.
This wasn’t justice.
This was a setup.
WHY I’M ASKING FOR HELP
We need to raise $7,500 immediately (toward a $15,000 goal) to retain a private attorney who can file an appeal before the window closes.
A state-appointed lawyer would delay the process 1–2 years—and by then, it may be too late.
Legal costs are high. Bond, travel, commissary, and phone calls have already exhausted family resources.
(Just speaking to loved ones for 30 minutes a day can cost over $200/month.)
Every dollar helps.
WHAT YOUR SUPPORT WILL DO
- Retain Attorney Olivia M. Goodman of https://www.markjobrien.com/attorney/olivia-nathan/
- File an immediate appeal
- Review trial transcripts and excluded evidence
- Coordinate a strategy to bring Tre home
IF YOU KNOW ME & TRUST ME
If I’ve ever shown up for you, if you’ve ever felt seen, safe, or supported by me—this is the moment I ask you to stand with me.
$5 makes a difference.
One share can shift this entire story.
One act of love can change a life.
Let’s not wait 20 years to say we got it wrong.
Let’s get it right. Right now.
