Over the last week, COVID has hit the Tousley family pretty hard. Both Josh and Tina are seriously ill, and Josh spent the last week in the hospital. He has been released but is still on oxygen, and both are unable to work.
When the first round of COVID impacted their daughter, Josh had to take time off with sick pay to help take care of her as the family was under quarantine. However, that left him without any further sick leave available for the rest of the year. Now, with both breadwinners home ill from work, their income is at an instant halt.
A number of us have been helping the family with food and assistance with the girls' needs. Still, the Mortgage payment is looming over their heads along with the basic utility bills. The monthly costs are starting to add up without the financial resources they typically earn.
