On Sunday, August 7, Joey was in a serious car wreck. Riding his motorcycle, he was run off the road and launch 30 ft in the air. He suffers from a broken foot, broken pelvis, 6 broken ribs, a broken back, a fractured vertebrae, a pulmonary embolism and road rash covering most of his body. Joey is currently in the ICU where he remains intubated. He was taken off sedation this morning and was communicating. He is scheduled for surgery on Thursday the 11th to repair his pelvis. It will most likely be 8-12 months before Joey is able to return to work. He will have months of rehab and physical therapy.
