I'm Mattie Graham, and I have the privilege of serving as Miss Trussville's Teen 2026. I'm excited to announce that I am raising money to fund educational scholarships and heart research for the AHA Go Red x Miss America collaboration.
You may know that the Miss America organization is the one of the largest scholarship providers for women in the United States, and it awards millions of dollars in scholarships each year. What you may not know is that heart disease is the leading cause of death among women, and it kills more women each year than all types of cancers combined.
About 1 in 3 women suffer from heart disease, so most families are impacted by heart disease -- including mine. My Nana has heart disease, and she has been battling heart disease for as long as I can remember. I'm raising money in honor of my Nana. I hope you will join the movement to end heart disease and provide tuition scholarships to women in America. No amount is too small!

Miss America and Miss America's Teen National Scholarships are awarded by a separate non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the Miss America's Scholarship Foundation Inc. This collaboration provides funds for national awards, and in addition, both Miss America's/Miss America's Teen State Scholarships and the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement. The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women is Miss America's Scholarship Foundation's national health thought leader. All above mentioned entities are 501(c)(3) organizations and all donations to this campaign are fully tax-deductible per IRS regulations.
