Hello! I am helping my Fiancé's family from Kharkiv, Ukraine flee and restart their lives. This family is the definition of kindness, selflessness and FAMILY.
They spent the first seven days of the war at their home in Kharkiv. Staying inside their 10x10 cellar while getting shelled and bombed constantly. They had just finished three years of construction on their home which was "built with love" as they told me when I toured it in January. This house was where they planned to retire. Within days, they had lost everything they worked their entire lives for. Leaving behind everything except a few bags and their dog they fled out of range of the daily barrages, air strikes and cruise missiles.
Now they are in Chernivtsi, Ukraine in the western part of the country.
I've created this fund to help them the only way I know how. They're a very proud, hardworking family that would never ask for anything but I want to help as new problems and expenses arise every day with this crisis. They are in urgent need of assistance.
They are in need of funds for literally everything. Most importantly housing, food, transportation costs, clothes. They need significant sums to try to leave They will have to start from scratch at almost retirement age. Although I will be assisting them some myself, the cost will be significantly more than I can provide.
Donate knowing that 100% of this money will help a family evacuate from Ukraine and then help them with all aspects of completely restarting their lives from scratch.
Most importantly I pray that we can raise enough to give them hope and peace of mind. The trauma from the constant bombings and loss of everything they've worked for has taken a serious toll on their mental health.
I want them to know that there's other people in this world that are as selfless and kind as they are. Also, that there is still hope to see their future grandchildren grow up and teach them to be just as kind as they are. ❤️
Know that if you donate you will be directly assisting an amazing, deserving family that will pay it forward as soon as they can get settled. I'll post updates as I can on their progress and use of any money donated.
