This is Skylee Ana, she is 7 years old, full of character, and always has some words of wisdom for her older siblings. Skylee just recently was diagnosed with Idiopathic Toe Walking. This means that she has favored walking on her toes. This wouldn't be a problem apart from the tendons in the back of her legs haven't been able to grow properly. Due to this she is @ risk for having a surgery to long gate the tendons in the backs of her legs. This surgery to elongated tenddons is extremely invasive and a traumatic experience for any child to go thru. The doctors have chosen a treatment that is less invasive and could avoid surgery. She has a cast on the leg 1 leg now and then will have both casted @ the same time after a 6 week period. These casts get changed weekly, this means we have to commute 1x a week for the next 4 months to UofM for these casting appointments. This could not have come @ a worse time with gas prices being 5$ a gallon. It's a struggle and I feel shameful that I am asking for help from complete strangers. If anyone could help me to help my daughter get to these appointments and possibly obtain physical therapy equipment to avoid surgery in the future, we will be forever grateful. We will always look for ways to pay it forward. Thank you for taking the time to even read or acknowledge. Thanxs Danielle Daschke-Wesch
