I never thought I'd make a go-fund-me. I knew it for people struggling to get by, or needing to pay medical bills, etc.
However,
As most of you don't know, I had COVID-19 in March. The virus was so severe that I had to finish the rest of my semester online. I had Post-Covid Syndrome and could barely move from room to room without needing assistance. Because of this, I was unable to finish my Federal and Presidential work-study. Workstudy makes a big difference in finishing my tuition payment for the year. Admittingly, unknowingly at the time, I had to withdraw some payments I earned to pay for personal finances during COVID times.
I am entering my senior year this year, 2021-2022. For me to do so in-seat, I have to pay close to 1,865. I did not know this until a week before move-in. I have been in contact with my university since I found out. They said I could pull a private loan, as my other loans are maxed out, but I can't find a co-signer. You may ask, "What about your parents?" My parents just pulled everything they had and got a new house they have been praying about and will be making payments for a long time. With this being said, my family tried everything they got but don't meet the eligibility for the co-sign for the loan. While I was able to be moved in, we didn't know this at the time. Now the college is depending on me to pay this 1,865 as soon as possible.
I am a full-time student who works two jobs on campus that pay for my tuition for this year alone. Any money that I will be making this year will be going straight to my tuition and will NOT be being paid for last year's total of 1,865. I am also looking for a job locally at my college to help pay for personal finances and what I can help with for my personal finances.
If I am unable to come up with the money, I will need to withdraw this semester and finish things online. As a Theatre major at UC, finishing my semester online would be unhelpful to my future career.
Needless to say, I can not do this alone. Anything will help. If you are not able to donate, please share.
Thank you.
