Our sweet turd of a dog, Maverick, is in need of knee surgery. Over the last 4 years he has had multiple eye surgeries and procedures due to lens luxation, corneal ulcer and more, to the tune of about $10k He is blind in one eye and has limited vision in the other. More recently he has been dealing with an immunocompromising issue that has caused liver issues, anemia and seizure like activity. We have finally gotten that under control (fingers crossed). All of that testing has cost us close to $5000 in a few months. None of those issues have seemed to slow him down too much, resulting in a knee injury from taking the stairs too quickly. We do have pet insurance, however the deductible is high and the reimbursement has been lowered due his numerous claims over the years. We have tapped out our care credit account with all of his bills, along with his sister having knee surgery two years ago. Any help is appreciated. He is our rotten little baby and we need him to be comfortable, not in pain, and back to his normal self.
