I never thought I’d be starting over like this — no car, no stable home, and no clear next step. Overnight, I lost both vehicles I’d paid for, and now my cat and I are living in a small trailer parked far from town. I’m doing everything I can to rebuild, but I can’t do it alone.
Full Story:
My name is Danielle, and I’m a disabled veteran asking for help during one of the hardest times of my life. My relationship ended suddenly and painfully, and during the breakup, both of our vehicles — my only means of transportation — were taken from me, even though I had put $15,000 down on one and paid every bill.
Right now, I’m living in a converted trailer with my cat, Zeus. We are parked far from stores, work opportunities, and community support. I have a temporary place to stay for now, but it’s not permanent.
I’m working toward stability, but I need help covering the most urgent needs so I can get back on my feet:
- $15,000 — Reliable used truck to replace the vehicles I lost
- $2,925 — Three months of trailer lot rent in Hampton, VA ($975/month) while I get steady work and secure a long-term living arrangement
- $2,075 — Kids’ food, basic necessities, and emergency medication fund while I transition into stability
Total Goal: $20,000
Transportation, housing security, and basic needs will give me the foundation I need to rebuild my life.
Even the smallest contribution helps me take one step closer to safety, stability, and independence again. If you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean the world to me.
Thank you for reading my story and for caring enough to be here.
With gratitude,
Danielle
