Hi, my name is Lindsey and I am a proud Colorado native. I was born and raised in the beautiful state and I have always considered it my home. I am a mother of three amazing children and I am married to an army veteran. My husband's service has taught me the importance of sacrifice, dedication, and hard work. These values have been instilled in me and have helped shape who I am today.
Currently, I work in grocery/retail but I am determined to grow and advance into a better position. I recently earned an associate's degree in business administration, but looking back, I realize that I could have achieved more. If only I had believed in myself more, I would have gone for a bachelor's degree. But at that time, self-doubt and fear held me back.
However, with hard work and determination, I proved myself wrong. Not only did I complete my associate's degree, but I did so with honors. And now, the position that I am interested in requires a bachelor's degree. This realization sparked a fire in me to push beyond my limits and pursue my dreams.
So, without hesitation, I enrolled in the business degree program with a human resource management concentration. But there was one major hurdle - the tuition is pretty expensive. Despite this challenge, I am determined to make it work. With the help of transferring 93 credits and capping my financial aid award and private loans, I have been able to cover a good portion of the cost. However, this still leaves a significant amount for me to come up with on my own.
I knew that this was going to be a tough journey, but I am ready to give it my all. I started applying for every scholarship that I qualify for and I am taking up side jobs, selling things that I don't need really anything that brings in extra money. As someone who has a hard time asking for help, this is not an easy step for me. But I know that this is a worthy cause and it will benefit me greatly in the future.
To further support my dream, I started a fundraiser. However, without a large network of people to share my link with, I am not sure how far it will go. This is where you, my readers, come in. I am hoping that you all can help me by sharing my story and fundraiser link with your friends and family or with a donation. Even just a few dollars or can make a huge difference for me.
I don't have much to offer in exchange but I can promise to keep everyone updated on my progress and journey towards achieving my goals. The more people who are interested and invest in me the harder I will push myself to do even better. I wouldn't want to let anyone down.
If you feel more comfortable donating directly to the college, that is also perfectly fine. I would be happy to share that information with you through messages. I know that it may not be easy for some of you to donate but maybe you can just share my story, I am grateful for any support that I receive. Your kindness and generosity will not go unnoticed and I promise to pay it forward in any way that I can.
I have always been someone who tries to get by without asking for help, but this journey has taught me the importance of reaching out and relying on the kindness of others. It takes a village to achieve our dreams, and I am so grateful to have all of you as a part of mine.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my journey and my request for help. Your support means the world to me, and I hope that through sharing my story, I can inspire others to believe in themselves and chase their dreams as well. Let's all work together to make this happen and prove that with determination and hard work, anything is possible. Thank you.
Ask and I will give you a direct link tp pay through my college.
