 Brooke has been in my life since she was a puppy , my daughters father had her since she was born and when we met she became mine. She has been there through every happy thing that has happened and every tear . When me and my daughter's father split she stayed with him , he couldn't take care of himself let alone her so I took her . At the time we lived at my moms during the transition of moving out just me and my daughter, my mom has 4 weimeraners so she was in heaven having other dogs to play with . She has sooo much energy and loves to run the fence line in the back yard . When I moved out of my moms I decided to let Brooke stay where she was happy and we go there every week anyway . About a year ago I noticed she was limping and then she wasn't the next day so I assumed it was for attention , I took her to the vet to be safe and she had torn her ACL from running too fast . The vet told me I could get her a surgery or they could give me pain meds to give to her to help with the pain for the next few weeks but to let her go without the surgery would eventually cause her to develop arthritis in her hips and legs . obviously I did not have the $1,200 to hand over so we had to do the pain meds . She is getting worse , when she is sitting on her butt she slides back on the hardwood floor b/c she can't put weight on her legs . She used to be able to jump up in the bed or the couch , she stays on the floor now and doesn't even attempt it , I have to pick her up to put her in the bed when me and my daughter stay the night at my moms . She is my first baby and it kills me to see her like that . She doesn't even get to do what she loves anymore , run . It took me 8 months to finally make one of these and put my pride to the side and ask for help . Every little bit helps.
