Hello,my name is Alina Mekk. I am Ukrainian and I live in California for 5 years. I am a volunteer and ready to devote my money, time and efforts to make a difference.
On February 24 2022 Russia began an invasion of Ukraine.It is the largest conventional military attack in Europe since Second World War.
My family in South of Ukraine in the city called Melitopol ,that is occupied by Russian forces and there is no way to escape. Residential areas in many cities are destroyed, hospitals attacked and many civilians are dead, children among of them.
People are running dangerously short of food and water, some cities have no electricity and heating.
I created this fundraiser to help those who are in need. I can't stay indifferent when my fellow Ukrainians suffer from war. My goal is to help families, orphanages, children hospitals with medical aids and food.
I have strong group of volunteers who made a decision to stay in Ukraine and help vulnerable people. All your donations strictly go to different cities of Ukraine, by request you will be provided with receipts of what was bought and all necessary additional information. Me and my trusted group of volunteers will do our best to make this work.
Before war happened I used to donate money and I was tricked couple times with unlawful fundraiser and non profits that had nothing to do with real life, it was a scam.
I want you to know that money you donate will go straight to people in need.
