A month ago, Bruce was found collapsed in the yard. This tragedy has left our neighborhood a darker place. Bruce was one that would help his friends and neighbors with out a single hesitation. He even volunteered to help me with my household repairs without being asked. I am asking for help for his family. I know that if our places were reversed, he would do anything he could to help my family.
Currently, His family's biggest problems are centered around their finances. Their primary source of income was his social security. His passing has left the family without social security benefits, because his wife is too young to receive survivorship benefits. To make matters worse, his wife has some mobility issues that make it extremely difficult for her to work. She has applied for disability income. Unfortunately, that is not likely to be enough money to replace his income. Plus, by the time a decision is made, she will probably be going into foreclosure.
My goal is to help pay off the house so that this family doesn't lose everything with him.
