My name is Dijana (Dee)  and I am creating this fundraiser for my mom and myself. She is my everything — my best friend, my safe place, and the strongest woman I know.

Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 lymphoma, where she under went 6 cycles of chemo therapy which unfortunately failed, she recently had a a PET scan 9/17 which has showed that the cancer has spread to her bones and liver. Her doctors now want to start CAR T-cell therapy, a very serious treatment that will require her to stay in the hospital for about three weeks. During that time, she will need me by her side every step of the way. The hospital is an hour and a half from our home, which adds to the challenge.

I do not work because I am my mom’s full-time caregiver, and this journey has made it impossible to keep steady income. On top of caring for my mom, I am also battling health issues that makes this situation even harder.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help us with travel expenses, food, bills, and keeping our home stable while I focus on what matters most: being there for Mom during treatment and recovery. If you are not able to give, simply sharing this campaign or keeping us in your prayers means the world to us.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting my family through this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity give us strength to keep going. 💜

🕊️ On November 29th, my beautiful mom received her wings. Heaven gained an angel, and although my heart is shattered, I find comfort knowing she is finally at peace — no more pain, no more suffering. ❤️‍🩹

I want to thank every single person who has donated, shared, prayed, or supported us in any way. Your kindness meant so much to my mom while she was here, and it continues to mean everything to us now.

I will be keeping this fundraiser open for ongoing expenses, as well as support for my children and our family as we navigate this heartbreaking loss. My mom would never want us to struggle during this time of grief, and your help has lifted a weight during the hardest days of our lives.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you. Whether the donation was big or small, every act of love has made a difference. God bless each of you for standing with us.

Forever my angel, forever my mama.

💔 Update on Mom 💔

11/28

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for my mom, supported us, and followed her journey. It means more than words could ever explain.

My mom has been an incredible fighter for the past year — not just through cancer, but throughout her entire life. She has faced every hardship with strength, courage, and love. Recently, she was able to spend a few days at home surrounded by family, and we are so grateful she had that time in the comfort of her own home.

During that time, she began experiencing severe stomach pain, wasn’t eating much, and spoke very little. She required both platelets and blood transfusions, but even with those, she wasn’t feeling better. On November 25th, I made the difficult decision to take her back to Iowa City. She was immediately admitted and underwent a CT scan.

While waiting for results, I prayed harder than I ever have.

The news we received was what we feared most — the cancer had spread aggressively. Her pancreas became severely inflamed, her liver is now more affected, and fluid has begun to build in her lungs. Doctors told us there are no further treatments or cure. Even the smallest chance of trying something new would bring more suffering without hope of success.

Hearing those words shattered us.

My beautiful mother has now been placed in hospice care, and our focus is keeping her comfortable, pain-free, and surrounded by love during this time. We are spending every moment with her — talking to her, holding her hands, and reminding her how deeply she is loved.

My mom is more than just a mother — she is an amazing wife, a devoted grandmother who helped raise my children, a provider, a caretaker, and the heart of our family. My children are devastated. My father is losing his soulmate of 45 years. My brothers and I are losing our rock — the woman who held all of us together.

Cancer may take her body, but it will never take her love, her legacy, or the memories she gave us. Her laugh, her strong spirit, her loud and bold personality, her unbelievable cooking, and her heart of gold will live in us forever.

We are continuing this fundraiser to help us through this incredibly difficult time and to prepare for the expenses ahead, including funeral arrangements if needed. Anything — a donation, a share, a prayer — means everything to us right now.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with us, for loving her, and for helping us honor her life.

Hi everyone, I wanted to give a little update on my mom.

These last few weeks have been incredibly difficult and emotional for all of us. Mom has been in and out of the hospital fighting so hard, and recently she developed complications that have made this journey even tougher. Watching her push through pain, treatments, setbacks, and exhaustion… she is truly the strongest woman I know.

Right now, we are focused on keeping her comfortable, continuing her treatments, and staying close to the hospital as instructed by her medical team. Because of how fragile her condition is, I am unable to work while caring for her full-time, and we’re still staying away from home until she is stable enough to return — which has been emotionally and financially overwhelming.

We are beyond grateful to everyone who has donated, prayed, checked in, or shared this page. Your kindness is helping us stay near the care she desperately needs, and it means more than words can ever explain.

If you’re unable to donate, a simple share can make a huge difference.

Every prayer, every message, every share — it all matters. 💛

Thank you for walking alongside us through one of the hardest chapters of our lives.

Please continue praying for my mom, for strength, for healing, and for peace. 🙏🏻💕

💔 Update on Mom 💔

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and prayed for my mom. Your love and support mean more to us than words could ever express. 💕

Tomorrow, Mom will begin a very serious treatment involving immunotherapy and antibody therapy — this is our last hope. She has already gone through so much and has fought through every other treatment, but sadly, none have worked. This one comes with high risks, and if it doesn’t help, we’ll have to begin preparing for hospice care — something no family ever wants to face. 💔

My mom is a fighter, and I still believe with all my heart that God can bless us with a miracle. 🙏🏻 Unfortunately, her cancer has spread throughout her body, and right now all we can do is hold onto faith, pray, and be by her side through it all.

I’ve decided to keep this SpotFund open as we continue to stay local for her care and hospital visits. This journey has been incredibly hard, and while my family has never been the type to ask for help, I’m asking now — for my mom and myself as her caregiver. Any donation, prayer, or share truly makes a difference and helps us continue this fight.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you all for your kindness, prayers, and support. Please keep my mom and our family in your thoughts and prayers. 💕🙏🏻

✨ Update on My Mom’s Fight ✨

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has donated, shared, prayed, and supported us. Your love has carried us through the most difficult time of our lives.

We received updated scans, and the doctors shared that my mom’s cancer has progressed very aggressively. It has spread to multiple organs, and at this point the focus has shifted to keeping her comfortable and free of pain. As hard as this is to accept, we are cherishing every moment with her and surrounding her with love, peace, and comfort.

My mom is still fighting with all the strength she has, and I am right by her side every second. Your support has helped us stay here together, keep her comfortable, and take care of everything while I have been her full-time caregiver in the hospital these past weeks.

If you are able to continue sharing or donating, it truly means the world to us. Every bit helps us focus on her comfort and make sure she has everything she needs in this time.

Thank you again to each and every one of you. Please continue to keep my mom in your prayers and hold our family in your thoughts. 🤍
