The Riba Foundation is proposing the need for a HOMOLOG INTEGRATED REGIONAL PROFESSIONAL SEARCH AND RESCUE UNIT.
The Central American and Caribbean region is constantly expanding, increasing the amount of industrial, touristic, and residential developments along the coasts. Many of these locations, due to either poor planning or remoteness of the area, lack appropriate roadwork, making sea vessels the only reliable means of access. As such, many of these populations cannot expect a timely response should disaster strike, as sea and air emergency services are practically non-existent.
Also, with the Panama Canal expansion, the Central American region will be seeing more traffic from large commercial and passenger ships, which will need aerial and sea support in case of an emergency to guarantee the safe recovery of crew and passengers.
Given the situation, we strongly believe that intergraded SAR units are becoming the only guaranteed way that provide immediate and reasonable action, supporting other government structures when natural or criminal disasters occur, regardless of different environments or conditions.
We will work in close partnership with International Medical and recovery Insurance corporations, who will be paying our corporation for almost all the ambulance and rescue services that we will provide in the region.
