To all who love and know Jonathan Jimenez, his family, life partner and cherished friends:

On July 31st, 2021, Jonny went to Mercy Urgent Care to get tested for Covid-19 as he was experiencing severe flu like symptoms over the course of the previous week. Doctors immediately noticed his low oxygen saturation levels and knew quick action needed to be taken. Not only testing positive for Covid, he was diagnosed with a very serious case of pnemonia and the journey started to save him and his lungs. After several agonizing hours in the urgent care he was sent home with an oxygen tank and a pulse oximeter so i could montitor his vitals at all times through the night. An oxygen concentrator was sent to the house in order for him to be on constant supply of oxygen through the night and day while at home, given it was a batlle for him to breathe on his own at this point.

Home life was an immediate switch from partner to full time caretaker, doing everything in my power to ensure he had what he needed at all times. Assisting with every task he struggled with to the best of my ability. Enduring countless consecutive days without sleep for us both. Having to break the news to his family was absolutely devastating and utterly heartbraking. His mother, a true genuine soul made sure to bring him everything he needed; from medicine, homemade soup and lots of love and encouragement over the phone.

August 5th 2021, our whole worlds changed this day and it all became so surreal. On this day he was officially admitted to Mercy hospital in Rogers due to such a decline in his health. After several weeks at Mercy, I recived a call from a lung specialist saying that he may not make to next week due to Mercy runing out of options due to lack of advanced medical technology that was needed in order to further help him. That in order to save him he needed to be life flighted to Childrens Hospital in Little Rock Arkansas where they have state of line technology to save his life. The same night he arrived in Littel Rock all staff were on standby and ready to aid him. They had him on full oxygen and he seemed to be doing okay the next day, but come night they had placed him on a BIPAP machine and it lasted for only an hour before the panic set in and it was too much for him to handle and he had an anxiety attack and his vitals plumeted to near fatal levels. Doctors immediately came to him and said he had to be sedated and he would be preped to have a ventilator placed. Knowing this knowledge he asked a nurse to call me from his phone and let me know that he loved me and to call his family and and that call broke me to my core. Flooded with emotions knowing that he was now on the ventilator, but knew it was for the best to save his life. Grief quickly overcame me knowing I had to call his family and try to calmly explain what had just happened to their beloved son, only barely 19 years old and going through so much.

Since then its been an incredibily rough journey, such a roller coaster that never seems to end. When there is the slightest of good news then five minutes later with bad news about his health. Everyone including myself have have a dramatic drop in our mental health and everyday has become a constant battle to maintain that smile everyone expects us to have.

Currently, he is still in critical condition and is about to undergo surgery to have a traceostomy next week; as we go into the second month of this tragic sickness that has nearly overcome such an amazing huamn being who isnt deserving of this pain. someone who deserves the world, has already been through so much in life; he still stays strong and positive as best as he can. So we are all terrified which is an understatement when it comes to a situation like this, but if it's whats needed to save his life then we have no other option than to agree.

At this time we are greatly appreciative of all prayers and donations to go towards his medical bills as times are very tough for all of us during this pandemic and sincerly every penny matters. I myself as well as everyone knows that your insurance cant pay for all medical expences, that out of pocket costs can get very pricey expecially when dealing with such a serious matter as this one.

Knowing that he is in the best hospital in the state eases us at times, but the thought of what its going to cost after all of this is done and over with worries jonny to the point where we can no longer tell him. Especially now with him no longer having a reliable car to get around in after he returns home. It has finally given out and has to be given up.

In conclusion, i do not ask for a lot, just what anyone can donate to such a great cause. To help re-pay his mother who has already done so much for not only him but I as his partner while grieving during this time of such a sudden and drastic shift in our lifes. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you isnt enough to the ones who have stuck by our sides and remained positive for him and us as well.
