Hello, I really don't know where to start!! So if this sounds jumbled, please forgive me as I've never had to ask for help before.
I'm a single mom of three children. I stay home and care for my mother as she's disabled.
On September 1st we were given a 60 day notice, stating the landlord wanted to list the house for sale. So we were told we didn't have to pay those 2 months rent, so we could have the funds when we found somewhere to move.
Well a few weeks later the sewer backed up in our house to where we couldn't shower, use the bathroom or wash clothes and dishes.
We then had to leave and stay in a hotel until they could come fix it. It took them 1 week to come out and do a 20 minute job. That 1 week in a hotel took every bit of what I had saved to move and more because we had to eat and I had to get my oldest daughter back and forth to school. Which ended in my account being overdrawn.
Last week we where told that if we got the rent money for the past 2 months we could stay until the end of winter. But we only have until October 31st to come up with it.
We have lived here for 11 years and have paid rent on time every month.
And to top it off my step dad lost his job after we 20 years.
Also I have talked to salvation army and RCA they are completely out of funds. This is my last hope :'
