In 2022, finding commonalities with your neighbors is more important than ever. Social media has promised to connect us more intimately, however it has slowly removed us from actively participating in our community. COVID-19 further separated us, understandably so, and adding politics into the mix makes it nearly impossible to really get to know your neighbors based on your shared experiences.
The performing arts closes this gap and every community deserves to have a space to share in the magic of live theatre. If you are looking for a nonprofit to donate to this year, please consider The Livonia Community Theatre's "New Home'' Campaign.
If you are looking for more connection, more joy, more community in your life, you will find it in the performing arts, I promise! The City of Livonia does not currently have theatre space to share this part of the human experience, and it's about time we did something about it.
**At this time, we are a private group with no city-wide affiliation. The funds collected will cover staging expenditures, performance rights, fundraising costs, and an eventual performance space figure.
