My name is Inky. I also go by L. I'm a 24-year-old Latinx person, I use They/It pronouns, and I'm disabled.
I've been trying to start an art career, doing commissions digitally on an iPad and using Procreate. I don't have any other source of income because I had a stroke a year and a half ago that made it impossible for me to work normal jobs. My disability/SSI is still processing, so that's out too.
Unfortunately, my iPad shit the bed last week. I didn't make enough to save up for a backup, and it died on me very randomly, with no hope of repairing it. My fiance covers my living expenses, bless him, but there's no way we can afford to replace it.
As an autistic person with PTSD, depression, and anxiety, drawing is also my biggest coping mechanism, and Procreate is what really clicked for me. I struggle with any other art programs, and traditional doesn't work for me either, especially if I want to keep doing commissions.
I need my art back for so many big reasons, and I don't really have anywhere else to turn. I don't need the latest iPad Air or a fancy iPad Pro, I just need to save enough for the most basic iPad on the market.
Please, help me. Even just a little would be appreciated.
